SFSanta Fe Business IncubatorSanta Fe’s front door for entrepreneurs

The Place

A real place to do real work.

30,000 square feet of professional workspace in Santa Fe — private offices, coworking, a bioscience wet lab, digital fabrication, conference rooms, and shared community space. Everything a growing business needs under one roof.

How it started

From 3.25 acres of weeds to 30,000 square feet of opportunity.

In 1995, the current site of the Santa Fe Business Incubator was 3.25 acres of undeveloped land with no positive economic impact for the community. The City of Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce recognized the potential, and over the next two years, their leadership turned a concept into a reality.

The original 10,000 square foot facility opened in December 1997. Early success drove rapid expansion to 30,000 square feet by 2002. The BioScience Lab followed in 2014, the Advanced Fabrication Center in 2017, and dedicated coworking spaces more recently — each addition responding to what founders in Santa Fe actually need.

Coworking

Dedicated coworking desks and open workspace for solo entrepreneurs and affiliate clients who need a productive environment without a full office lease.

BioScience Lab

A fully equipped shared wet lab opened in April 2014. One of the only life science facilities available to early-stage entrepreneurs in northern New Mexico, with specialized instrumentation and standard bench equipment.

Advanced Fabrication Center

A digital fabrication facility opened in February 2017 and part of the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms global network. Equipped with 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, milling machines, and Autodesk / SolidWorks CAD software.

Conference Rooms

Four shared conference rooms available to resident and affiliate clients for team meetings, client presentations, and advisory sessions. Reservable and professionally appointed.

Common Areas

Two shared kitchen and break room areas, a light-filled reception area, and an enclosed courtyard — designed to encourage the informal conversations and community that make an incubator more than just an office building.
