Marie Longserre

Marie has served as President and CEO of the SFBI since it was constructed. She helped bring the first clients into the Incubator in 1997 and guided the fundraising and expansion of the facility and program in 2001. She supervises the overall program, facility and fiscal agency and manages SFBI collaborative relationships, public relations and policy.
Under her leadership SFBI has been presented numerous awards for excellence in Economic Development including recognition from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the National Economic Development Association. Client companies have been honored with local and national awards for their growth and success.
A recognized leader in Business Incubation and entrepreneurial development, Marie serves on the Executive Board of National Business Incubation Association and she has led trainings and presentations on business incubation and economic development in New Mexico and at conferences across the United States. She was instrumental in the development of the Certified Business Incubator program in New Mexico. She also serves as Treasurer of the Board of the New Mexico Small Business Investment Corporation, which helps deliver lending and equity capital to New Mexico businesses.
Marie received a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Education from the University of Texas. Her professional experience includes business management and education. She has been recognized as “New Mexico Entrepreneurial Advocate of the Year 2005” by the Public Service Company of New Mexico and WESST; “The Governor’s Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women 2001”; and the Capital City Business and Professional Women’s 2000 “Business Woman of the Year”. Her interests are reading, National Parks and being effective.
Emma Fountain
Operations & Projects Manager

Emma joined the Incubator in 2009, where she oversees all operational needs of Incubator, our clients and visitors. She is responsible for maintaining our 30,000 square foot facility’s highly professional appearance and manages all renovation of major systems within the building. In addition, she facilitates outreach programs, manages projects and developed and maintains the SFBI website.
Emma was born in England and received a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Middlesex University. She has over 10 years of Project Manager and Project Coordinator experience, mainly in the telecommunications industry. She is also a trained Project Management Professional (PMP).
In her spare time Emma enjoys the outdoors with big blue skies, frequent road trips and fishing with her husband. Scuba diving, trekking and overseas travel are her true loves in life.
Ross Chaney
Business Programs Director

Ross joined the Incubator in 2011 where he oversee all client business programs and serves as SFBI’s client coach.
Before joining the SFBI, Ross worked in economic and business development for Tribal governments. In 2005, Ross was appointed by Governor Bill Richardson as the COO and CFO of the Indian Affairs Cabinet of New Mexico.
From 1998 to 2002, Ross was a manager at Lucent Technologies – Bell Laboratories in their Optical Networking Group. Ross has advised board members of New Mexico Public Regulatory Commission (PRC), Federal Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) and members of the New Mexico House of Representatives.
Ross graduated from The American University’s School of International Service (SIS) dual masters’ program. While at Ritsumeikan University located in Kyoto, Japan and conducted research for his second masters’ on business law and global technology trends.
Ross’s personal interests include making contemporary art and expanding community grief support services to children in Northern New Mexico at Gerard’s House
